Hany Ghanem
Advisor for Geopolitical Risk, Investments, and Emerging Threats
Hany Ghanem is an experienced investment and geopolitical risk expert with leadership tenures across global wealth management, private investments, consulting, and energy. He currently serves as a nonresident senior fellow with the Atlantic Council’s Middle East Programs and a Senior Advisor at AI native risk intelligence company Tesari. He previously served as an associate director in UBS Wealth Management Americas’ Client Intelligence Group, where he led Middle East and Africa risk research.
Before joining UBS, Ghanem advanced his career at investment firm Cambridge Associates in the Business Risk Management Group, where he led its corporate intelligence practice. Earlier, as a research manager at Exiger—a risk technology and advisory firm—he led research teams that provided critical insights to corporate and government clients.
In addition to his expertise in financial services risk management, Ghanem has contributed to award-winning journalism. His research work has featured on notable platforms such as VICE News and Last Week Tonight.
Ghanem, CAMS, holds a Master of Arts in Global Risk from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies.
