Meet Yuvaan Maiti

Yuvaan Maiti is a high school student at Miramonte High School in Orinda, CA.

He started working at Porta Strategies as a research intern in June 2025. His

research efforts focus on identifying evolving legislation to help PortaStrategies target business development efforts for its financial crime risk

management, investigations, and intelligence analysis services. Yuvaan has

boosted research efficiency at PortaStrategies by proactively building an

online GenAI tool to automate the legislative research process.

Yuvaan’s academic passions include math, physics, business, and policy. He

has demonstrated academic excellence in advanced math, physics, and

humanities courses while serving as Founder and President of the Investing

Club at his high school. He is a cross-country runner and an avid debater.

Outside of school, Yuvaan is actively involved in community service. He

volunteers regularly for Habitat for Humanity and helps K-5th students

behind in literacy gain critical reading skills as a Youth Mentor at Community

Reading Buddies. In his free time, Yuvaan enjoys listening to music and has

been slowly but steadily building a curated vinyl collection.
